Douglas H. Goldsmith, D.D.S.

Dr. Douglas Goldsmith graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1974 and completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Montefiore Hospital in New York. He went on to complete a fellowship in the surgical treatment of dentofacial deformities at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He returned to New York and began teaching full-time at Montefiore Hospital in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery until 1981. Dr. Goldsmith was also a member of the Center for Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies at Montefiore Hospital for 25 years.

Dr. Goldsmith has published over 30 articles in medical and dental literature and authored chapters in 4 textbooks. He has also lectured nationally and internationally on topics such as the correction of dentofacial deformities, facial reconstruction, and implant dentistry. Dr. Goldsmith has been involved with 3-D virtual treatment planning for implant placement for 10 years. He is Chief Emeritus of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at White Plains Hospital and Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesiology. He is in private practice with Dr. Orentlicher in Scarsdale, N.Y.
